The PA Young Reader's Choice Awards
is a program in which Rice Elementary participates every year. During
the first couple months of the school year, teachers check out the books
entered in the program, and either read them to their students in class
or let their students read them independently. During the month of
February, teachers will help their students vote on which book was their
favorite. Miss Schin will tally all the votes from all the classes and
submit Rice's winner to the PA Young Reader's Choice website. The winner
is announced in the following months.

checked out of the Rice library, you can check a local public library
or click on the link below the cover art and purchase your own copy.
